here I've got another really fantastic
fun tune to play by a fellow by the name
of Chubby Checker I tell you I play this
one live all the time there when I'm
playing live shows and I uh I kind of
have my own little spin on it there I it
gets people dancing every time so hope
you guys enjoy this one it's called Uh
twist Chubby Checker Twist and I play it
it's only three chords the way I play it
I know he plays it at a B7 but I uh I
play it at a g there just cuz it's a
nice comfortable cord and I'll tell you
why in a sec here I've got I do the four
finger G so that would be the to the
baby and the third finger and the two
bottom strings in the third fret and
then the index and index finger on the
second string from the top in the second
fret and then your your second finger
would be on the third the top string in
the third fret that's
G and then for c i play a four finger c
as well and I just I keep the two B I
keep the baby finger and the third
finger in the same spot and then I just
drop the index and the second finger
one string
each so there's your G there's your C
then a regular
D now I have a really kind of a cool
strum there so what I do actually the
top the second finger is touching the
top string in the uh third fret but the
kind of the chubby of your finger there
it's almost deadening the second to
leave my index finger free so that I can
do some fun stuff with it so the third
string from the top in the second
fret kind of gives it that that bluesy
feel so that's what I'm doing I'm ham
running on the third string from the top
in the second
fret and my top my second finger is
touching the top spring in the G but
it's also kind of brushing the second
string from the top in the G just to
kind of Deton it while I do this index
finger
thing it's kind it's just a nice simple
bluesy way to do it and then for C I
just drop both fingers and do the same
thing
so now you're hammering on the four
string from the top in the second
frame and then back to
G and then a d all I'm doing there is
sus spending that index finger on the D
to kind of give it that same
sound back to
C now that's what I do you guys can do
any string any strum you want I was just
trying to let let you know what it is
that I'm doing there and it does make
for a really fun tune does make for a
really fun tune when you're playing it
for a crowd there so but you can just
drum through
it let's do the
twist come on baby so it still sounds
good I just kind of like the bluesy feel
so that's kind of what I add to it I
made this kind of made this tune my own
a little bit but I want you guys to know
what I was doing so practice those
chords and then find a strum you like
and then join us for the song Chubby

what a fun tune I generally run that one
on I go through the chorus I go through
the chorus and the verse a couple of
times if people are dancing I keep that
one going but it's a really really great
tune for you guys to try out so I hope
