Heat. Heat.
I'm guessing we are here filming the
music video for a song about the
Templars. This is basically the end
story of the Templars as they were back
in the day. King Philip in France got
tired of, you know, owing the Templars
so much money, convincing the popes that
they were heretics and then basically
eradicating them. It's a good way of
getting rid of your debt. It's hard to
do through the bank these days, but was
successful back then.
Boys and girls, welcome to Serbia and
Belgrade. We are now on our way to some
rehearsals and learn new skills and
hopefully acquire them so he's the
director doesn't get irritated with our
shitty acting skills.
We get a strip as well. Nice, huh? Yeah.
Lovely. Thank you. A lot of people might
think it, but none of us walk around in
full Templar gear at home. That's the
biggest misconception, especially about
Yakim. I guess that's a sabaton. This
part costume fitting was better than I
expected because this historical combat
battle group, White Eagle, they have so
much stuff that's functional made for
them already and there's so many of
them. And normally when you're getting
into costume, they have a very limited
supply of armor or shoes or anything
that's historically correct or, you
know, accurate. Until the helmet on and
his face is covered, I'm not happy. I
think this going to be good. Chris, we
tried different helmets and different
kinds of outfits and and it was really
cool. You know, if I felt badass pulling
all those things on me and like, yeah,
and if something didn't fit, they would
go to, okay, we we'll try that on you,
try that on you. I'm not going to say
it's comfortable by any means, but I
imagine it being so so much worse.
Thanks and props to those guys for
sorting it out.
You're going from the hip to the
shoulder. From the hip to the shoulder.
Okay. Sword training is very physical.
Yeah. Me and my kid, he loves Star Wars
and and has all these lightsabers lying
around the house, like 15. We've been
practicing because he was like, "Dad,
you're going to
fight. It is harder than you think. I
would say all of a sudden you're in
costume. That might not be the easiest
range of motion with armor on. It will
be a good workout.
My arms will feel dead after this. Then
you're also synchronizing with other
people. It's not only you who has to do
it right. We are going to fight around
of you and in that moment you're dying.
The actors that were trained with they
are professionals. It was quite scary
sometimes because it's hard to keep up
with all those
movements.
Crazy stuff. It's tricky, man. Do you
like the scenes? Yeah. Yeah. Super nice.
In uncomfortable situations is where you
grow creatively and personally, to be
honest. Yeah. Would I ever expect me to
be in full templar gear in Serbia in
midsummer fighting with the sword? No.
Do I like it? Hell yeah.
Ladies and gentlemen, good morning and
welcome to the fortress of solitude. No,
it's not called like that. It's called u
we do a retake on that. Okay. Good
morning, boys and girls. And welcome to
Kamedan Fortress. These are our beloved
guests. Come on in. Say good morning.
Say good morning. I think we will go to
makeup y and uh sweat our asses off, I
guess. Yeah. So, yeah. Enjoy.
All right, video shoot. Obviously,
Tokyo, capital of Cambodia. Coffee is
that way.
Bye-bye. We have been recording uh music
videos before with this team and we
thought this was the right video for
them. I'm a big fan of the creative
process in a video from hearing the demo
to the to the song to the vision to
getting the director to execute the
vision. To see this whole thing come
alive is one of my favorite things
personally. Ian the director worked with
us on Royal Guard, the Unkillable
Soldier and also Soldier of Heaven.
Everybody feels great to be back here
because Ian is such a nice guy and he he
knows exactly how to do things. He just
goes there and fixes stuff. if he
doesn't call his, you know, assistant
who then calls the guy. He was clear. He
told you what to do and then I could
easily like ask him questions and he
would say yes and yes and do this and
that. Easy to work with. Clear. Great
guy.
P is the reason why we're all here.
Obviously, Pat is the man for this job.
If you want something done right, you
want somebody to care about every every
single detail. You see all of this? It's
very authentic. But we had to cut some
corners on this one. To our defense, it
has sound effects.
This pretty much Montipython, but the
Swedish
version. Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Morning. It's great weather today.
That's cool. That's cool. Someone's
going to get hurt today. Very good. Very
good. I have a seat. Here we are. It's
uh kind of early morning, but not as
early as for the other guys. But I had
zero minutes of sleep and I have pain in
my back. I can fix that. You forget
about the pain in your back by chopping
off my head
action.
You have to make it look convincing.
Method acting. No, I'm a drummer, dude.
I'll just try not to look like an idiot.
That's what I'm trying to do.
Maybe on the last take he came slower.
Now he's coming a bit faster. And you
don't want to hurt the guy, but you
still got to look like you're stabbing
him or whatever it is. So I'm not a very
good actor to begin with. And that added
complexity really screws me over.
We have not done that before that
everybody everybody dies. I have no name
or anything. I'm just a Templar. I am
just a Templar and I die early in the
video. I die spectacularly. For me, I
just wanted to have the most gruesome
death of all and I think I got
it. I kind of suspect that I might have
some some acting skills as they say and
I really wanted to try them out and this
was a great opportunity when P asked
everybody in an email what roles do you
want to play and all that and I said hey
I want to play the guy that fights the
knight in the end and I discovered
something new maybe like a a hidden
talent or thing in
all honesty. If we can keep on doing
what we do, which is something we love
doing and enough people are going to
appreciate it enough to come to the
concert so we can keep doing it, then
then I'm happy. Simple as
that. Heat
up here.
